California Trip!

I have noticed lately how easily having a baby can change your relationship with your spouse. We have a few more rough days then we used to but of course we fix what we can. I need to split my time. Well the baby needs my attention but I do need to listen and pay attention to my husband too. When we have more kids I'm sure it will get harder at times. We have good and bad days like every one.
Sorry if I repeat things I can't remember what has changed or is still the same.
Isaac has been waking every two hours or so at night ahhh let's get better at this buddy.
His schedule is very off thanks to our two road trips kind of back and forth. Which I knew would happen. Which doesn't help that I haven't been getting much sleep either so I've been kind of cranky :(
I can't wait until Isaac likes to play with toys. Except that means the diaper bag will be even more full lol
He makes lots of bubbles and drools when he sleeps lol
The doctor said with his yeast infection to use disposable diapers for a week. It looks like its gone and then you give hin a bath ans there is still a bright red spot (little but still there)
I'm so frustrated I want it gone and I'm tired of needing to give Isaac medicine for it.
He didn't do too bad in the car to california it was just a lot longer cuz we kept needing to stop for him but we eventually made it.
I know carseats are very important in safety but the trip would of been a lot easier if I could hold him here and there. Grr
Also I dislike the rule about putting the carseat handle down in the car cuz its a pain in the butt to put down. My wrists are sore from trying to push both buttons in at the same time.
My knees are killing me. I'm going to have to find stretches. I hope they heal soon cuz I'm feeling old.
In two weeks Isaac has been to Idaho, arizonia, Nevada, and California! Wow too bad he won't remember any of it.
And his first beach and camping trip
We went camping for a night. Isaac really didn't seem to mind, he was already cranky anyways. The bugs were insane but they never attacked Isaac which I was thankful for. We ate food and played some games. We took a walk and sang nursery rhymes around Isaacs first camp fire :) he looked at the sky more then the fire lol
He slept another fairly good night. In the morning we had heavy rainfall but took a small hike, he slept half the time. But we walked to a waterfall where they usually swim but this year there was barely any water but still pretty.
Then we went back hone and got ready to hit the beach. Traffic was terrible but we made it. Isaac seemed to like it but wasn't in love. I put his toes in the sand and water.
Then we went to walk around the la temple :)
Isaac has been doing fairly well on this trip, I'm very grateful.
Saturday morning we went to dennys with calzada and his little girl (who is adorable) and Desiree and her boyfriend.
We all had q pretty good time :) as always
Later we left Isaac with grandma and went out to eat and shopping. I got a dress... It's cute but doesn't fit perfect so now I'm regretting the purchase. I hate when that happens. The length is just barely right and the top part is too loose for my liking so I will need to pin it up.
Then we came back to watch some home videos of when Spencer was a baby. He does look a lot more like Isaac then I originally thought. I love it! Soon I will get a picture of me and Spencer as a baby and compare to Isaacs baby pictures.
:'( I don't wanna leave tomorrow. I hate when vacation ends.
Later that evening we went to some wedding receptions, which were all pretty nice :)
I got spencer to dance with me and I danced with Isaac :)I'm going to teach him to love dancing. :)
Then at 1030 he was OUT and didn't wake up until 540am. Which is so nice but I still need to pump cuz my breasts get too uncomfortable and then I say "he will probably wake up any minute" so I have trouble fallin back to sleep :(
Sunday we headed out to church for sacrament meeting then we had to say goodbye and we headed out with maryanne and Andrew back to Utah.
We played 21 questions and 2 truths and a lie over text while we traveled. Then we split up and has girls in one car and guys in the other car.
It was more fun kind of having more people to travel with. Spencer and I run out of things to say sometimes.
Isaac had a diaper explosion all the way up his back and all over hos clothes it was disgusting!
Around cedar city it was lightning like crazy! Pink, blue, and white colors. But it was beautiful and would light up the whole sky. Then it started raining really bad and we went back to our own cars. Around beaver Spencer and I stopped and got a hotel cuz it was crazy. But of course Isaac stopped sleeping good. Ah I'm exhausted and now have to try to get time schedules back to normal. Dropping off Spencer at work on the way back to tooele. Started not feeling very well and my left knee is killing me.
When all our trips are done and we are moved in our house I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself cuz it will be so slow but I'm sure I will love it.
Also need to start working out sometime cuz I think I'm starting to get belly pudge :'(

Idaho

He wakes up with dry diapers now so have to give him time before I need to change him. He is preparing for potty training lol
He slept most of the way to rexburg but the last 20 minutes he wanted to get out!
The first night was terrible but there is so much new stuff its to be expected.
Everyone comments on how perfectly round his head is. :o

We had diannes wedding reception on Saturday. She was a beautiful bride, welcome to the family Vance.
Saturday evening we saw Mallory and melissa at coldstone. It's been forever so it was nice to catch up with them
Then we hung out at trulees house and played a game.
Time sure flies when we are there.
He slept from about 11 to 430!!!
When we left rexburg we went to chubbuck to visit Jon, mallorie, and cache. Our time with them was cut short but we were able to help Dianne and Vance with their tire issue. Very glad we were close by and could help.
Then we stopped for lunch and isaac slept in the car. I always feel bad when he has to sleep in the car and I'm not in the back seat with him but its kind of cramped back there.
It's good preparation for our California trip on Wednesday.
We got back to tooele, and hung out. He was being good so I tried to cut his nails and got two and then he was squirming and I clipped his skin =[ I'm sure lots of people have done that before but I feel terrible that I accidently hurt him :'(
Then I noticed he was bleeding... Aw my poor baby
My knees still are stiff but I haven't been able to take ibuprofen regularly with the traveling.
We will do laundry then pack everything right back up again.

6 week

Isaac drools now here and there
He has happier days and even smiled and kept smiling because I was laughing. I caught part of that on a video :)
I would really like to be able to send out his birth announcement since its almost been two months since he has been born. And this part is not my fault entirely, long story.
Isaac has had a few massive spit ups lately. Hmm oh well
Also I think his yeast infection is finally gone, crossing my fingers.(jk there is still one stupid dot ahhh)
I think he likes the rain or just likes outside no matter what kind of weather there is.
He moves his arms and kicks his legs SO much and even sometimes punches himself in the face lol
He sleeps fairly well gets up maybe every 3 hours. Between 10 and 12 there is at least one hour where he has his pacifier and is asleep then it falls out he wakes up and that sometimes lasts an hour..... :(
I'm debating on switching over to formula and stopping breastfeeding... I don't want your opinions on the matter that's between my husband and I but its a thought I've been having lately for different reasons.
I've been singing nursery rhymes with Isaac I want him to love music as much as I do.
Lately he likes the swing and even falls asleep in it:)
He is slowly getting into 3 month clothes.
He knows his daddy and usually gets happy when his dad comes home. Which just melts my heart.
He is just so precious :)
I can't think of much else to update on right now.
Can't believe its already been 6 weeks, it seems a lot longer. I went to my check up and all is back to normal he says. I asked about the stiffness I've been having in my knees and he said that's weird he had never heard that happening before so he said to just try to taken ibuprofen its probably just some inflammation. Hmm so I shall try that.
We got the inspection done on our house, nothing too major to fix which is always nice!
Then we signed some more papers for the house and loan
And did the sewer inspection... he said it was the best piping he has ever seen nothing major or minor to report =]

Grandma & Grandpa Peacock & Aunt Dianne came to visit him this weekend which he loved!
Also we had a lot of heavy rainstorms, and one time my mom and i went out in the rain to salt snails.... there were SOOO many it was crazy and gross!

On a side note Kelly Clarkson has decided not to do the lyric video instead she is putting our wedding picture in her actual music video for tie it up!!! Even more exciting (no date on when it will come out yet)

I used to have such a nice schedule of blogging. Once I got to work I would blog but now I can't do everyday so I try for once a week but even that doesn't always happen because you never know if its gonna be a good or bad day when you have a baby.
Isaac still had his yeast infection so we got oral medicine to get rid of it but we think its upsetting his tummy cuz he started to get fussy again and we think it could be acid reflex. So I called the doctor up and she gave us a medicine to try and so far he is eating better but of course still has his fussy moments.
But we manage especially when they aren't hours of crying at night, that's something I'm not good at handling.
I hate having to put medicine of all kinds in his little body but if he has a tummy issue or infection you want to help solve the issue.
He definitely is seeing a little better cuz he will watch movement and just interact a little more. He is smiling with an open mouth and eyes open here and there. Those smiles just melt a mother's heart. It's amazing to watch them learn and grow and accomplish all these milestones.
One day he was asleep in my moms arms and all of a sudden he let out this cry that was different from all his other crys. It kind of sounded like a sad/scared cry like mommy hold me I just had a bad dream. It broke my heart to hear that cry. :'( he has only had one tear so far. Once he gets tears its gonna make his crying even more real and sad to me.
We will lay him on his back on our bed or the floor and he lately has been falling asleep in his own which is pretty nice, we will see how long that lasts.
He takes the pacifer more now too.
He is SUCH a snorter sometimes
Occasionally he sucks his thumb which is super cute but he sometimes tries but struggles to get it in his mouth lol
Supposably their month 2 is when purple crying is at its worst but to be honest I think if a baby is crying like purple crying then something is wrong and they aren't just crying to cry. That doesn't make since to me, I just don't believe a baby would just cry because they need to cry, I think its maybe saying my tummy hurts or something. Now yes I could be wrong but we haven't had too bad of crys so either we are lucky or we gave him medicine t
hat helped him so he didn't need to 'purple cry". And all babies are different so who knows.
I've been making this life binder for Isaac and ahh I love it, it's going to be so nice to put all his moments in this book. If you are curious about what it is or what I do with it, feel free to ask.
On another note our offer on the house was approved so soon we will be home owners unless something crazy comes up. This is so exciting, I can't wait to make that place ours. It will be hard at times but it will be good in so many other ways. So this is going to be a busy summer for us. Fixing up the house once we get it and then this weekend his parents come up and Andrews wedding, next weekend is diannes wedding so we will travel up to rexburg and then the next week/weekend is our trip to California.
Oh boy, wish us luck with our baby in these travels.
We are very thankful and grateful for our lives and all we've been blessed with.

Isaac One Month Old

Being a mother is amazing. You know I've had some down moments but man this kid is amazing.
I can't believe its been a month but I'm also okay that the time is flying by.
Isaac now weighs 9 lbs 5 oz
We've fixed his gas issue thanks to gas relief drops (thanks to those who told me to try it)
He sleeps a lot but not as much as when he was a newborn.
He takes pacifiers but doesnt need them at all times just on occasions
His eyes are becoming a lighter blue, they are beautiful
His hair is growing longer in certain spots, in certain light it looks kind of red but for the most part it is still a light brown and dark in some spots
He is getting bigger everyday which I love his chubby cheeks.
He kicks a lot and stands a little sometimes
He likes sucking on his fists sometimes too which is cute
He eats about 3 to 4 ounces every 2 or 3 hours
He sleeps pretty good at night once we get him to sleep. He will sleep 4 hours sometimes at night.
He smiles on occasions and kind of chatters.
He loves looking around but rarely every looks directly at you or if he does its not for very long.
He is ticklish in some spots but of course no laughing yet.
His ring fell off Monday, thank heaven's! (Circumcision ring)
He gets cold feet like me so we put socks on him.
The rest of his body is pretty hot but not always
He pees through his cloth diapers on and off but we manage.
He still fits in at least half of his newborn outfits.
He makes lots of silly facial expressions that make us laugh.
He loves his daddy but doesn't mind other people too much as long as his needs are met.
He hates needing to be burped so sometimes he has a little spit up or gets the hiccups
He doesn't mind baths now :)
He loves going outside on the swing
He is a very squirmy baby sometimes lol
He also loves going in his carseat for drives or a walk
I love when he falls asleep or cuddles up to me curled up on my tummy. So we are tummy to tummy.
He has a pretty darn strong neck which is awesome
Basically he is an amazing baby to me and every day I can't believe he is my baby. I love him to pieces!
We have new surprises almost everyday!

And for me, I'm down to 119-120 pounds. I feel like I am healing nicely but still waiting for my 6 week appointment to know for sure.
I am trying a new thing where I pump for 25-30 minutes about every 6 hours or so.
I am not always good at taking naps or eating really well but we are getting the hang of it slowly
I have to clean the cloth diapers daily which is annoying but oh well
I'm trying to get a walk in every evening
I'm easily annoyed by things and people more than I was pregnant I feel lol
