Being Famous

Thursday evening-
I watched some TV shows for a little bit. Then I did Skype with Channelle, we talked a little bit about a road trip we are planning. Then she helped me try to curl my hair with a straightener. And I kind of worked but I still need a lot of practice. Afterwards I cleaned up a little bit. Then I picked Spencer up around 8pm. We talked about future events that are coming up soon. And I was just exhausted so we got ready for bed early.

Friday-
Not much happened but the usual in the morning but I had some thoughts so here is where I will discuss them. I did burn my finger this morning… ouch!

I think I’ve wrote about this before but a little while ago I started writing about certain topics I would love my kids to understand better and things I wish I had known before hand. Just a couple days ago I found out a celebrity (Debby Ryan) does this as well and she is only 19 and isn’t married yet. But I honestly think it’s a brilliant idea for everyone to do.
Also I love being married, it’s always been one of my number one dreams to get married to a wonderful man and have children and so on. And it’s amazing being married and sharing a life with someone. After awhile though (and I think I’ve blogged about this before) you realize all of the things you wanted to do in your life that you haven’t done. There is some of this these I could still do at my age but it’s harder to do when you’re not single. I think why I love TV shows & movies so much are because I wish I had an opportunity to act in even a commercial. Also with music I want to sing songs that inspire people and make them want to listen to it over and over again. And I have a little more courage to do these things now more than when I was in High School but I am still shy and nervous. 1. I don’t have the experience and practice 2. I’m not gutsy enough to do those things 3. I’m not really in the right area to find opportunities like that. (Maybe one day when a movie is filming in Utah I will try out for a role)
On a side note I did try out for a school play in High School one time and it was nerve racking but I did it. Of course I didn’t make it in but it was a good experience.
Then I started thinking I really want to do these things but if it never happens I still can be these things in a different way… When I’m a mom
1.      I am the most famous person in their life and they will love me
2.      they will look up to me
3.      I will sing to them at night or whenever
4.      I will dance and make them laugh
5.      mommy is always going to be silly at sometime or another
6.      a mother is always wise and an inspiration

Of course were not all of these things to them their WHOLE life but we will always be there when they do want/ need us again. And if that’s all the chance I get at being “famous”, then it will be alright with me =]
On a side note, it would be cool to be famous for a day; just to see how it feels.

I’m planning on doing a girl road trip to California in November. Right now Channelle, Mallory, and Mylissa are planning to go with me and hopefully all works out. We will stay with my In-Laws in Palmdale and then go to LA, Hollywood, and Santa Monica (around those areas). We are going to find celebrities. My goal is to find at least one that I recognize and know. I’m really excited; it’s a girl vacation before I have kids because once you have kid’s good luck going on a fun vacation.
It’s a lot of work to do your hair and make up everyday but I do like looking like this more than without doing anything.

I’m getting my hair dyed red tomorrow by Heather. I’m really excited and hope it looks nice, if it doesn’t red fades fast so it might look better as it changes color. And she is going to help me learn how to curl my own hair.
Other than that there isn’t too much going on this weekend. It will be nice to have a low key weekend for once. =]
And I’m getting Jessie & Good luck Charlie episodes on DVD from my In-laws, I’m really excited to get those!

Countdown-

32 days until something awesome!!! (I think I counted this wrong somehow)
41 days until Spencer is out of this semester (27 if you don’t count the weekends or holidays)
61 days until Chicago/Iowa!!!

Marriage Suits you (me)

Wednesday evening-
A long day at work and an interesting one. I had a lot of people comment on my hair or make up. I mean that is really nice but it was just strange. One person didn’t recognize who I was and had to ask someone. Then another person said “Holly marriage suits you.” Which was nice and I said thank you but then she added you look happy and really good and then she asked “Are you with child?” haha wow! I said as far as I know, no. It was a good but interesting day. On break I bought a new straightener to cry curling my hair with… it didn’t work so I’m getting help from a friend later this week. Then I got a few make up kits that should be easy to follow.
After work I hurry and made dinner and then Spencer left for meetings. I had finished The Suite Life on Deck at work (the last episode made me cry) so I didn’t have a show to watch. I called Quincy and I will be doing her wedding pictures July 7th. I’m really excited but kind of nervous as well. It will be a great opportunity to broaden my photography though. Living in Utah and loving photography is hard because SO many people do photography on the side and you have to compete with so much. That’s why I had stopped doing it for awhile but then a friend inspired me to want to again.
Then after watching Good Luck Charlie episode I decided to walk to the church to hang out with Spencer for a little bit. After that we came home and watched Ghost of the Abysses (it’s about the titanic), at 10 I was exhausted and we decided to stop it and go to bed.

Thursday-
I slept beautifully! And I got up at 8am which isn’t too bad. I ate some breakfast and watched Pretty Little Liars. Then did my hair and my make up which all turned out pretty well =] Ta Da! Also painted my finger nails black before I headed off to work. Other than that it’s a slow day at work so far. I plan to watch a few video clips and tips on fashion. Also read and type up a few things.
After work it’s my cleaning day and maybe I will Skype with a friend as well depending on how everything goes. And just relax until Spencer comes home! It’s been a busy week, it’s so nice that it’s almost Friday!

Season 3 of Suite Life on Deck

Tuesday evening-
I got through another long day at work. When I got home I watched TV shows all day. I know it’s terrible but when I get on a TV series on Netflix I just watch them all in a row. But while I was doing that I chatted with some good friends on Facebook! It was really nice to catch up with a few people. =] Arreana, Kaitlin, Tiffany, Channelle, and Bree.
Because I didn’t have to work a full day tomorrow Spencer and I decided to go to In & Out with our friend Andrew for his birthday and some of his other friends around 10pm. On our way there I got a text from the morning receptionist saying she doesn’t feel well and was wondering if I could do a full day again tomorrow. There is no reason for me not too besides being tired so I said sure. I wasn’t in the best of mood at In & Out for a few reasons but towards the end I did have a few laughs. We didn’t get home until about 11:45pm and I had to get up at 6am! Ugh

Wednesday-
Well I’m here for another full day. Certainly not planned but sometimes things come up.
I got up to try and curl my hair with a straightener but it didn’t work… I think my straightener needs to be skinner. Instead I just straightened it since I was half way there anyways. Then off to work Spencer and I went. It’s a little chilly out this morning but it will start heating up soon. Today is going to be a little rough because I didn’t get a good nights sleep and doing more than 2 full days in a row can wear a person out. So because I’m tired I am a little emotional. Other than that it should be a fairly decent day. Not sure where I’m going to go for lunch, maybe Pizza Hut at target. Who knows maybe I’ll take a short nap too.
Lately though I’ve been trying to find make up and hair tutorials and try some new things.
And I found a paper I wrote in my first English class at LDS Business College about my friend Taft that passed away. I sent it to my friend who never got the full paper and man I wrote some good stuff! When I find the right topic that moves me or is emotional I think I can make good stories out of them. I could never go bigger than like 8 pages though.
Other then that I’m just going to watch the end of Season 3 of The Suite Life on Deck and read a few things.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

(this was Monday's post i forgot to post)

Friday evening-
Spencer did some homework while I watched some TV shows. Afterwards we decided to take a walk to the Big Smith’s and get a few things. We finally got WD 40 for our squeaky back door and car door. WD 40 works miracles! Then I watched my “The Suite Life on Deck” Disney channel show.

Saturday-
This morning Spencer went to help the Stake Center clean up a camp site for the Young Women’s camp. I watched some TV then took a short nap. Because our Relief Society Cabin trip was canceled I offered to help an investigator in our church paint her place. We helped paint the bathroom white and the kitchen yellow. I’m surprised the landlord didn’t fix up the place. The walls were an ugly color and really messy looking. We had fun, sadly not a ton of people came to help but I was there. It was a lot of fun, I do wish there were girls there from Relief Society, from the 4 hours I was there it was only me plus guys and missionary couples. Then I headed home and ate a quick lunch before picking Spencer up. I’ve decided I’m going to try to do my hair nice (straighten or try something new) and wear make up almost every day! It makes me feel good about myself when I actually do something besides wear nice outfits. The one downside is that after awhile make up makes me itch. I’m not sure if I’m just allergic to this certain brand or it’s because I don’t wear make up often so my eyes aren’t used to it. (It’s mainly the mascara) We took a short nap then ventured out in the HOT weather to drive to South Towne mall. Spencer got a few new white button up shirts and slacks for work. (Much needed) And I went to Aeropostale and got a cute pair of Capri’s! Then we came home and I did the dishes, after I do the dishes it always makes me feel accomplished. Then we made a stop at Andrew’s birthday party for a couple minutes. It was around 100 degrees out today so for the rest of the night we relaxed indoors.

Sunday-
We had 6 kids in nursery today and it was a fairly calm day. It is always interesting to see a kid always be nice or always be mean and then all of a sudden one day they are the total opposite. I mean every kid has to go through different stages to become who they are going to be but it’s hard to get used to. After church I got the laundry ready and headed over to Jessica’s. We hung out for a little while but then Jessica and her friend headed out to visit teach so I watched J and Emma while they were gone. I didn’t have to watch them too much though because they play pretty well together and are pretty behaved. So I watched some Suite Life on Deck on my phone. I left around 5:15 with pretty much all the laundry done.
Then I quickly at dinner and relaxed with my husband for a bit before heading to the Relief Society Fireside. The lady that spoke was the lady from Time out for Women. She is actually a really good speaker. A few things we learned.
1.      We literally are a Daughter of God
2.      Let Him confirm to you that he hears and knows you
3.      He has a plan for our lives
4.      Give yourself an identity.
5.      God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has.” –Elder Holland (2004 CES Fireside)
6.      “I will order all things for your good as fast as you are able to receive them” D&C
7.      Who would you want to be to your Heavenly Father? (in one word)
8.      Nothing is going to startle us more until we go through the veil and realize how much we know our Father in Heaven.
9.      John 10:3
10.  He will be ready to give us what we ask for
11.  Just step back
12.  What if the Lord has something better for you than what you want for yourself
I’ve wanted to go to Relief Society at least once a month. But I’ve been too afraid to bring it up in Nursery to the leaders. But after this fireside I ran into on of the leaders. She said this made me miss Relief Society, so I brought up that maybe we can start taking turns so each of us can go to Relief Society every once in a while. And she said that now that we all have good leaders that we could start that. I’m really excited that she felt that way and I was able to talk to her about it. =]
Afterwards I went home and watched some TV before heading off to bed.

Monday-
So far it’s been a good morning. I’m working a full day at work so I had to get up early. But I’m doing fairly well so far. I plan on typing up a few things, reading, and watching some TV shows. I need to take a break from Bones because I was having bad dreams and not sleeping well. It’s interesting how certain shows have an affect on you and your dreams. Wish me luck to get through this day. So far I have a knot in my shoulder that’s uncomfortable and if I don’t keep myself buys with this I get sleepy.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Breakfast for Dinner

Monday evening-
It was a HOT day at work because the air wasn’t working in our area. When I don’t turn on my heater then it’s a sign that it is HOT in here. But we made it through. During lunch I got chicken nuggets from Wendy’s, they were kind of salty though. Other than that I just watched some TV and got a few things figured out in my calling.
After work Spencer and I made breakfast for dinner, it was delicious! Then we watched a few more TV shows. Then we did a few dishes and Spencer cleaned some of the shower. We went to bed around 10pm because I was exhausted!

Tuesday-
This morning I got up and ready for another full day at work. I feel it’s going to be an okay day today. And the air is back on I’m feeling a little chilly. Just watching some TV shows and read the book for book club. “The No. 1 ladies detective agency.” Other than that I’m ready for my 3 breaks at 10, 12, and 3! =]
Afterwards I just plan on relaxing until Spencer comes home, maybe finish cleaning the shower.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Red hair??

Thursday evening-
I came home and cleaned the house for a little while. Then Suki and I skyped for about an hour and a half. It was nice to talk to her. Then I watched some Disney Channel movies on YouTube. After that I just did a little research on some actresses. Around 9pm Spencer came home from school and we ended up watching this one movie until 11pm. I was exhausted so then we decided to head to bed. Than decided I think I want to try to dye my hair red but not RED but like the actresses Debby Ryan has on the Disney show Jessie. I will put a picture of it below. A friend at work that does hair things she can get it pretty close so in the next week or two I’m hopefully going to be a red head! The one bad thing about dying your hair red is you have to keep touching it up but we will see how it goes and then I may or may not keep it up. It will be fun I think I could pull it off. (I hope lol)

Friday-
This morning I got up around 7am and watched some Disney channels and decided to look good today. I put on make up and straightened my hair! Which was a bad idea only because it’s hot and windy outside. But I think I look pretty good today =] It sure boosts my self-esteem =]
Then at work we had a BBQ so we sat outside and kind of had a little picnic. Other than that it’s been a semi slow day today. I just plan to read and watch some TV.

Other than that I might play some games with friends from church. If not Spencer and I will probably just relax at home for a little while.

It’s FRIDAY!! Enjoy your HOT weekend

This is the hair color, the best picture i could find to show the right shade: what do you think??

The Difference

Wednesday evening-
We hurried and made dinner. Then Spencer left for meetings. I tried to take a break from TV and music for a little bit to rest my eyes and ears. I read a magazine I got in the mail for a little bit. Then I watched a movie called “What if…” It was actually pretty good. In the middle of it I got a call from my friend Cynthia. We talked for a little while which was nice. Then I finished watching the movie and saw it through different eyes. It was pretty good. Then I watched the new episodes of Make it or Break it. Then we read our scriptures and got ready for bed, I was EXHAUSTED!

Thursday-
We slept WAY later than we should of this morning. But I watched a little Make it or Break it. Then off to work. It’s going to be another HOT day today. We’ve had a lot of calls today that have been wrong numbers, interesting.
Now just watching some TV shows and some books to read.

When I get home I’m going to clean the house and than wait to Skype with Suki!!! I’m super excited =] One more day until Friday, crazy how time flies sometimes.

The Difference

I got up early one morning
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I didn’t have time to pray

Problems just tumbled about me
And heavier came each task;
“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered
He said, “But you didn’t ask.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty
But the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn’t show me.
He said, “But you didn’t seek.”

I tried to come into God’s presence;
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided
“My Child, you didn’t knock.”

I woke up early this morning
And paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray.

First day of Summer 2012

Tuesday evening-
After work I came home and did the dishes and took out the trash. Other than that I watched more Bones & America’s got talent. Then Spencer came home which meant it was almost time for bed.
Congrats to my cousin Emily & her husband Tim, they had a beautiful baby girl named Charlotte at 11:59pm. =] I guessed it was a girl!!!

Wednesday-
This morning I headed out to Precision Tune Auto to get the oil changed in the car. They had a list of items that they said should be done to the car… it all adds up to about $300. So my dad might be able to do some and he said some aren’t as important as they say. So Spencer might head out Saturday to get some things done to the car. Eventually it would be nice to put money into a newer car (not brand new just newer). Other than that I watched Pretty Little Liars and some Jessie episodes (Disney channel, that’s one channel I wish we got on TV).
Other than that I feel a little off today and I didn’t even sleep in or anything. So we will see how today goes. Other than the usual on a Wednesday there isn’t really anything new.

Have a wonderful Wednesday… it’s half over!

Madagascar 3

Monday evening-
After work Spencer and I picked up Pizza Hut. We watched an episode of Bones and drank our Strawberry sparkling juice! Then off we went to Century 16 to watch Madagascar 3. I was really excited to see it because I’ve heard so many good comments about it…. My expectations were too high. There were parts that were funny or good but all in all I think the 1st one is my favorite. So that was kind of sad but either way it was nice to go to a movie =] When we got out of the movie we realized the lights had been left on so… dead battery. We were on 3300 South and Jessica lives on 3900 South so we asked if she could stop by and help us jumpstart our car. Good thing she had instructions because people do it so many different ways. And yes of course we called our dad to make sure. We tried it one way for like 20 minutes or less and it didn’t really do much. So then we tried it fully connected to the battery and tada we had life. It’s always nice to get a refresher on jumpstarting a car. At least by the time we needed it, it was cool outside instead of super hot. Thanks to Jessica for being willing to come down and help us. I was exhausted & felt like my head was going to explode from a headache I had for awhile. So after we did a few little things I took some ibuprofen and sleeping pills and went to bed.

Tuesday-
I did NOT sleep very well… I kept feeling like if I closed my eyes for too long that someone was going to come in our room and take something of ours. Just things like that; not that I was really terrified I just couldn’t put my mind at ease. It’s probably thanks to watching Bones episodes. And then later I was just so hot and frustrated because I was really tired but couldn’t let my mind be calm. At least my headache is gone for now and I got some sleep. I woke up and watched some more Bones and then took a little nap. I prayed that the car would be okay and start for me to go to work… it worked! =]

Spencer has a long day today so I plan to watch TV, do the dishes, and MAYBE attempt to clean the shower and maybe the car also. Other than that I don’t have too much planned.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

1 Year Anniversary =]

Friday evening-
After work Spencer and I were finally able to just sit and hang out together for a little while. Around 6:30 I headed to Stansbury to attend my friend Kate’s wedding reception. She was beautiful in her dress! I was really glad I got to see them. I didn’t really know anyone there so I just sat by these ladies and ate some food. Then of course since it was a wedding I got teary eyed at the cake cutting & their dance. And they ended up having a couple dance for all of the couples out their… the one time Spencer isn’t with me. =[ But they had some good music and I almost got up and danced with them but I’m just to shy (sometimes) for my own good. Afterwards I headed to Tooele to talk with my parents for a little while. I got home around 11pm.

Saturday-
In the morning I went over to Acacia’s to help with breakfast. Than I went to do an endowment session with Spencer at the Salt Lake City Temple before it’s closed for about a month. It was really nice. Then we went to Subway for lunch and dropped a sandwich off to Acacia. I stayed and chatted with her for a little bit. Than around 2pm I went home and Spencer and I left with Jessica & J to Layton to the mall. There we met up with my dad, mom, & Stephanie for Father’s Day. We had pretzel & DQ ice cream. Yummy! Than we walked around the mall a little bit. Afterwards Spencer & I came home and then did some MUCH needed grocery shopping. It was nice to get some food in our refrigerator. Afterwards we watched some of Rush Hour.

Sunday-
So this is kind of random but I’m off my birth control pills for now and I got my regular period…. On Sunday. If I remember correctly I seemed to ALWAYS get my period on Sunday when I wasn’t on birth control. Which is fine because you don’t do a whole lot on Sunday’s but I just find it weird.
Other than that we went to church together. We had only 6 kids in nursery. Towards the end we had their Father’s come in for Father’s Day and they sang the song “I’m so glad when Daddy comes home”. It was super cute! They also colored paper ties for their dads. After church I took Evia home and stayed to help them with lunch and did some of my laundry since I was there. We watched some Mythbuster episodes. After our laundry was done Spencer and I went home to relax for a little bit and then ate a quick dinner. Then we went back over to help Acacia & Evia. It was really nice to help out. When David came home Spencer and I headed out for the night. We watched the old Cheaper By the Dozen on Netflix and ate popcorn!

Monday-
Happy 1st Anniversary!
I slept in a little this morning. Then I got up and watched some Bones episodes; that is the new TV series I am going to watch on Netflix. Then I got ready for the day. I was going to put makeup on sense I usually don’t but I thought I looked really nice today without making. And makeup is bad for your skin (I think) anyways but I’m not totally against wearing it.
At work its semi slow but it’s a Monday so it will pick up soon.
Other than work today I plan to watch a few TV shows. Then afterwards for our Anniversary Spencer and I are ordering some Pizza Hut pizza, and we have our sparkling strawberry juice (it’s a tradition on special holidays now) and then we are going to see Madagascar 3! I’m really excited; I’ve heard really good things about the movie.

Demi Lovato

Thursday evening-
After work I went home and ate some dinner while watching the last episode of Drop Dead Diva…. I cried! Season 4 is going on now on the Lifetime channel but we don’t have that. Then when it was over I started the BIG clean up in our house. It really wasn’t that bad (I didn’t do the shower which NEEDS to be clean but I don’t clean it very well). I cleaned while blasting awesome music!!! Then when I was done I just watched Duets… Kelly’s team is still all there. Then just relaxed and listened to music while I waited for Spencer to get home. When he got home we read the scriptures, and then read our own books.

Friday-
I slept okay, had another crazy dream though. Basically some guy had a huge temper and started chasing me and throwing huge glass balls at me trying to hit me. Then I woke up and watched a movie while relaxing. I then shipped out a package for my cousin Emily. Then I met up with Spencer before heading off to work. It’s going to be another hot day.

After work I’m not sure what we are going to eat but around 6:30 heading to Stansbury for my friend Kate’s wedding reception. She got married in Greece about 5 weeks ago. It will be really nice to see her; Spencer will be staying home doing homework. Then I will get home around 9pm or 10pm.

Then Saturday we hopefully will be doing an endowment session in the temple. Then in the afternoon celebrating Father’s Day at DQ with some of the family. =] On Sunday I plan to spend some time with Acacia while her daughter is with family & her husband is at work. It will be nice to hang out with her for a little bit.

And I wish I could see Demi Lovato in concert, she is coming July 12th, and tickets are only around 35-45 dollars. But I don’t need to go, concerts are just fun when you love their music.

Good Life

Wednesday evening-
After work Spencer and I stopped by our house to change and drop off some things. Then we picked up Mr. Calzada from his hotel. Afterwards we went to Trio for dinner. I got my usual Spaghetti, it has been awhile. It was delicious, and I pretty much at all but 2 bites of the pasta. I was stuffed! We stayed and talked for a little while. Then we took him to this famous little garden in Utah but most Utah people don’t know about it. More out of state people know. It’s called Gilgal Sculpture Garden. It is only like 2-3 blocks from our place. I’ve been their a few times. It’s kind of neat but free and small. He has always wanted to see it so we walked there. Then we walked around Memory Grove for a little while; we saw two brides getting pictures taken. Then we drove around a few places to point out the school & where Spencer works. Then we dropped him off, we got home around 9pm. It was nice to talk to him for awhile. Then I just watched some TV shows & relaxed before bed time.

Thursday-
I didn’t sleep amazing but not as bad as a couple nights ago. Spencer was running late so I took him to school this morning. Than I watched some TV shows and some YouTube videos. And I messed around with buying some iPod songs.
Just another day at work today. And I have a little bit of a headache but that will pass over time.

Later tonight I plan on cleaning the house pretty good again!! If I still have time I will just watch some more Drop Dead Diva and I plan on Skyping with Suki if all works out tonight. =]

Between Husband & Wife

Tuesday night-
After work I went grocery shopping for a few little things we needed. I wanted to get it done instead of pushing it off until the last day. Then I went home and watched some TV shows! After awhile I was bored so around 8pm I picked up Spencer from school. Then we headed out to Baskin Robins for some Ice Cream! We found out from Channelle that the house her Aunt has for rent; they are still waiting for the contractors to fix the bathroom. Other than that the price will be around $600 a month… thank heavens for cheaper places outside of Salt Lake City. Lol
This is super exciting, the price will be a little different but that’s still super cheap. But of course we can’t wait for them to finish so we can at least look at how “Small” it is. Then needed to see how close the train station really is; especially if Spencer will need to walk there. We estimated it will probably be about 7-8 blocks away; which I think is about the same as he walks now so that could work.
We had a little disagreement on something but what married couple doesn’t. Other than that I started reading “Between Husband & Wife”. I don’t know what it was but reading a few of the lines got me thinking about a few things and in general made me a little teary eyed. I’m going to list a few of them hear… maybe explain why I liked it and some I might not.
  1. “Is it any wonder, then,” Asked Elder Packer, “that in the church marriage is so sacred and so important? Can you understand why your marriage, which releases these powers of creation for your use, should be the most carefully planned, the most solemnly considered step in your life?” (I always knew having children was super important and such an honor. But I guess I knew you had to plan for one but also I thought you were just supposed to have kids because I knew that was a part of the plan. How it was worded just made me think that planning is even more important then I thought)
  2. “Then, in marriage, we are commissioned to exercise our sexual powers to creates physical bodies for the Father’s spirit children. Perhaps in no more meaningful way do we approach the nobility and majesty of God and His work than through this endowment of procreation. God’s work and His glory exist in the exaltation of His children, and we take part in that work as we nurture our children and raise them in righteousness.”
  3. “Parents learn how to be fathers and mothers from their children, and children are prepared for adulthood by their parents. Elder Packer said, “the ultimate purpose of all we teach is to unite parents and children in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they are happy at home, sealed in an eternal marriage, linked to their generations, and assured of exaltation in the presence of our Heavenly Father.”” (We can only learn so much about becoming parents, but the ultimate way to learn how to be parents is to have/raise a child.)
  4. “No man receives the fullness of the priesthood without a woman at his side.”
  5. “The better our marriage, the better will be the quality of our intimacy. Emotional and physical contact between husband and wife enhances marital love, and the Lord has authorized these intimate expressions as one way to bring us closer to each other and to Him.”
  6. “It is interesting to know how man is put together- how incomplete he is. His whole physical and emotional and for that matter, spiritual nature, is formed in such a way that it depends upon a source of encouragement and power that is found in a women. When man has found his wife and companion, he has in a sense found the other half of himself.” (it reminds me of that song “You’re my better half” lol)
  7. “With conception and pregnancy, couples join hands with God in the amazing and incomprehensible process of giving life.” (It really is incomprehensible to even think about all of that)

I’m only at chapter 3 but a few things just got me thinking about the so called “triangle” relationship between me, Spencer, and God. I am excited to learn the things this book has to offer.

Wednesday-
I didn’t sleep very well at all. My legs hurt like when I’m on or near my period but I wasn’t so I’m not sure why they hurt. I lost my streak of good night sleep. I even had a dream kind of like a nightmare. It’s very interesting and weird and I’m not sure if you’ll understand it.
But basically we were in this home/my work; Spencer and I. And there were all sorts of animals and this WEIRD animal would get angry and shoot off pokers that shot into your skin. I guess kind of like a porcupine but a lot smaller and I think they shot out of its mouth. It was shooting at someone and I tried to grab it and put it in a cage or whatever but it ended up shooting at the back of my legs. So I had lines of pokers in my leg. It ended up stopping and I tried to pull out a few but sat by Spencer and said I’d go see Suki and she could get them out for me. Then all of a sudden a person covered it black clothing came up and jammed a gun into my arm and told us we had to get in line 10 and 6. Apparently I was 6 but I thought 10 so Spencer and I went in line to 10. And I was so glad that I was with my husband but then someone came up to me quickly and said you are actually in line 6 hurry up before he notices you were in the wrong place.
Basically I think we had certain jobs we were supposed to do but I can’t really remember much after that.
It wasn’t as scary as a lot of my dreams have been but it was still a dream including a gun.

Anyways I woke up and watched some TV shows. Then got ready for the day. I called Acacia to make sure everything was going good. Her husband is home today to help with Evia and do a few things. I’m glad she is doing well and that we have so many sisters that are able to help her with her husband is at work. I love our ward.
It’s kind of a low key day at work and a lot of people are gone for most of the day. Hopefully it will stay low key so that I don’t upset anyone who wants answers right away that I can’t give them.
Other than that it’s a nice day outside and later tonight we are meeting up with Mr. Calzada one of Spencer’s old teachers that is in town. We will go out to eat but I’m not sure where yet. Other than that I don’t have anything planned for the day.
I do need a few ideas on what to teach the nursery kids on Sunday about Father’s day.

My 200th Post!!

THIS IS MY 200th BLOG POST!!! =] (if i had realized before hand i would of maybe wrote something really cool)

Monday evening-
Yesterday Spencer and I watched some TV shows. Then later we played some Rock Band and I did some of the dishes. It feels like we did a whole bunch of stuff but not really, the time went by so fast. I watched some TV while he read his book. Then went to bed around 10:30.
Earlier I did talk to my friend Channelle, about how we were looking at a bigger place to rent for a little while. She said her Aunt & Uncle rent out this little house; it’s a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom. She said you could probably have a cat and she was pretty sure there is a washer/dryer. It is in Bountiful but only 10-15 minutes away from downtown Salt Lake. And it’s by a train station so when Spencer starts working full time he gets a free trax pass =]
But I’m still waiting for her to find out the price and if it is available yet. She said they were doing some work on it and she wasn’t sure if it was ready yet. But if it’s not until like August that’s even MORE perfect. I get excited about things too fast. The price probably will be too much but you never know. =]

Tuesday-
This morning I got up and said goodbye to Spencer. I watched some TV shows. Then I got sleepy so I took a small nap. I ate some breakfast and listened to the banging on the walls; because their fixing up the apartment next to us.
It’s going to be another HOT day today!
There is a blood drive at work today but when it’s around my period I try not to give blood because it makes me dizzier after my period.
Not much going on at work today though. So I’m just going to type up A LOT of pages, I hoped to talk to Channelle on Gmail chat but I think she has work today.
I will just watch a few shows.

Oh and I find it funny that I bought jawbreakers when I’m trying to fix my jaw haha
But their mini ones so just suck on them until they are soft and then it’s fine.
Need to start on my walks with friends soon, if their kids are all out.
Also I plan on making a playlist on my iPod of my favorite songs! =]

Countdown-

5 days until our one year anniversary!!!

Sugar Free is not for me lol

Friday evening-
We came home and watched Cheaper by the dozen 1 & 2. =] I love those movies. Other than that we didn’t really do much. It was just nice to finally be home at the same time together. Other than that we didn’t do a whole bunch… I don’t think anyways. We also just played Band Hero for like 2 hours together. It was pretty darn fun!

Saturday-
I saw someone steal from Walgreens so I called them and reported it. This girl hid 3 mountain dews under her shirt. I’ve never seen that before. Than I got ready to go to Stephanie’s place with Jessica. We were supposed to go to clean and I was all set to do that but it never happened. Her in-laws came over and smelled Scentsy which was fine but I’ve already smelled enough smells I wanted to do something for a change. Their place is pretty nice though so we got the tour. And then we ended up going to the Zoo their which was nice but I really was in the mood to clean & organize.
It was mainly a bird & duck soon but it wasn’t too bad for 2 bucks.
There were 5 peacocks, a wallaby, swans, porcupine, hawks, owls, snakes, monkeys, elk, emus, turtles, a coyote, and wild cats?
We also stopped at this nice candy store and I got a little too many mini jaw breakers... And sugar free gummy bears that don't agree wtih my body very well i've found out. BLAH
Then once we got home Spencer & I planned to go to the temple but then he said it would be too busy. But I was really looking forward to going to the temple. So eventually we decided we would go. We did baptisms, confirmations, and intitories for family names. I was really glad we went. I did feel bad because Spencer didn’t have the best experience but I’m glad I went. Then we went home and had a nice evening.

Sunday-
I picked up Evia for church since her mom is on bed rest. She was pretty good, she sat by Cynthia & Jack a little too. Then in nursery we had TEN kids, but they weren’t too bad. Two of them were Cheryl’s grandkids so they weren’t much trouble. But towards the end it was ciaos because they didn’t pre-cut out the drawings so 1 person had to entertain 10 kids while the other two tried to cut the papers out before church ended. Afterwards I went home and watched some TV while eating some lunch. Then I took a little nap, Sunday’s make me tired. When Spencer got home we headed out to Jessica’s to do our laundry. We played a few games with Jerimiah and watched the 3 musketeer’s video. We ate a pretty good ham, corn, and mashed potatoes for dinner. Then we left around 7:30 to go home. We watched a TV show and then relaxed before bed time.

Monday-

This morning I watched some TV shows and called about a place that was for rent.
It’s another duplex. It was 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It is for $895, which is a lot so we might just check it out. But it comes with a washer & dryer and you can have pets for only $100 deposit! It’s also still in our ward boundaries. So we might just at least go check it out, it has everything we have wanted one our list to move somewhere but it is $895. But it probably won’t happen.
Then my period is ending but I’m getting the dreadful ending cramps. I hate when I have them at work because they make everything annoying like the phones ringing constantly.
Other than that there is this ANNOYING sound also kind of creepy that is happening around my desk. It’s the sound of something rough scrapping against air vents. It happens every 2-3 minutes. I might go searching myself or ask someone to come check for me.
Other than that welcome to another week. This is going to be normal busy like always.
I just realized I left my rings in my sweater pocket which I forgot at home. I’ve been ring less and didn’t realize until I got to work. Now my fingers feel naked. I hate when I forget to put them back on!

After work there isn’t really anything we have planned.

DVD list

Thursday evening-
After work I went over to my friend Acacia’s house. She just got put on bed rest for her pregnancy and has a 2 ½ year old little girl. I let them borrow my vacuum since theirs broke a little while back. And I brought over some DVD’s for her to watch. And I played with Evia & talked with Acacia for awhile. It was nice to just sit and talk. Afterwards I went hope to quickly eat lunch. Then went to pick up Spencer from school. We stopped by the church so he could do a few quick things. Then we went home for 10 minutes maybe. He then went to the temple cleaning. I stayed up fairly late cleaning every room and doing the dishes. I think organized all of my movies & updated my DVD list. The next step is my books…. That’s going to be a two person job one. I watched a few TV episodes and then got ready for bed. I was afraid I probably wouldn’t fall asleep before Spencer got home around midnight because I’d be too scared. It turns out that I fell asleep around 11:45 and he didn’t get home until 12:30 and I was pretty much out, I didn’t realize he had come home until he was almost in bed. Which is good because I need to be able to spend the night at our house alone if he ever can’t be home. Before I really fell asleep though I kind of had the feeling that maybe moving right now isn’t for us. But I’m not positive if I felt that right and I haven’t really said anything yet. Because I probably did feel it wrong but we will see. Spencer hasn’t said much about it and I’m not going to push him because he has been really busy lately.

Friday-
I slept wonderful again! It’s such a great feeling =] I slept until 7:30 and then got up. I got breakfast and watched a few TV shows. My house is clean =] I love that feeling. Then I slowly got ready for the day. It’s Friday!! Work isn’t too bad so far but we shall see how it turns out.
I some how missed Duets on TV again last night. Lol So I will be watching that on Hulu at work.

After work I plan on spending time with my husband even if he might have to do homework at least we will be together for once. And maybe we will watch Cheaper by the dozen 1 & 2. ugh I’m not sure what is for dinner though, I need to think of something.

Saturday I’m going to Stephanie’s place with Jessica and I think we are helping her unpack and organize. Then when I get back around 4 or 5 Spencer and I plan to go to the temple to do a few names my mom gave us and one his Aunt gave us. Not sure home much we can get done. But for sure all the baptisms and maybe and endowment session as well.

Cheaper by the dozen

Wednesday evening-
Yesterday we hurried home and had a quick dinner so Spencer could get to the church. I watched a few TV shows until around 7pm. I went to the church & talked to a few ladies from Relief Society. It’s always nice to talk to women occasionally. Then Spencer & I headed over to the Taft’s house to get the tour & Kenzie explained how the other half (that’s for rent) is like. It seems really good to me and that it would be a good idea to move. I’m not sure what Spencer thinks yet. We are thinking of calling the landlord & seeing if we can make the rent a few bucks cheaper. If not then I’m not sure what we will plan on. Hopefully all goes well. If it’s not time to get a bigger place then we will just wait. I just feel pretty good about it. Afterwards we walked home and talked about it a little bit. Than he did some homework & I watched “Your’s, mine, and ours”, so funny!

Thursday-
I slept wonderful last night, I wasn’t coughing or anything! I got up around 6am and I went to Jessica’s to get J ready for the day. He got up around 8 and he didn’t pretty well. He sure gets up and starts talking; I take some time to adjust in the morning. What a silly kid. But we got him dressed, ate breakfast, and off we went to daycare. I was like we will just drop him off no problem. We get there (after I missed the little building first) and J see’s a friend. And we go inside and I do what I need to. And take him upstairs… and it was sad. I knew it would probably be sad for my own children but I was sad to drop off J, my nephew. Afterwards I drove home & watched some TV shows for a little while. And the neighbors were pounding on the walls while fixing that apartment up next to us. Then I won’t see Spencer much at all tonight =[ once at 8pm and then at midnight. So I might a quick stop at Subway to see him and we both got a Subway sandwich; I had to get to work but I took the sandwich with me. I love him so much and I don’t like that he is gone so much but it needs to be done.
Work is pretty low key today so I plan to read books & type up a few things.
Other than that tonight I will go home and clean up the place & maybe get to watch Duets on TV for once. lol

There are ladies in the lobby all talking about their children giving birth. It’s kind of interesting on all their thoughts but weird at the same time. At the same time it’s making it hard for me to concentrate on writing this blog post! One lady said that she thinks as women we like our grandchildren more than our children….. hmm I think that’s a little odd. I mean you don’t have to be with your grandchildren every crying moment and frustrations like you did with your children but I think that’s what makes our actual children more important and will always be above the grandchildren. I mean of course you will do anything for your grandchildren but that’s what helps your children too.

Then I got Cheaper by the dozen 1 & 2 from Jessica to watch, I want to watch it (tonight) but don’t want to watch it without Spencer. We will see. Then we will need to watch the old version of Cheaper by the dozen & yours, mine, and ours.

Today hasn’t been too bad of a day so far!

Jaw continues to improve

Tuesday evening-
After work I planned to sit in front of the TV and watch Netflix shows. Well our stupid internet never lets us do that without having to pause for it to load. So instead I watched some TV shows. After awhile it was getting closer for Spencer to get out of class. So I headed out to pick him up. I like to get out and do something occasionally and like to see him sooner. Then he did a few church things. I had an upsetting moment but later just decided to get over it. And we ended the night on a pretty good note.

Wednesday-
This morning Spencer started going to work early and then go to school on Monday/Wednesday/Fridays. In the long run it gets us both up in the morning and we need the money. But it will be even longer days for him. No I didn’t work out. How about I will tell you when I do decide to get off my butt and work out. I know my body wants to it’s just getting up and doing it. I watched some TV shows this morning. Pretty little liars is back on, Spencer & I weren’t going to watch it once they said who A was. But in general I know there has to be more than one A. And I didn’t watch previews until one came on in the theater and it made me want to watch it again. So I’ve been watching it.
Around 9am I had my jaw appointment. It’s been a month since my last one. So far they say everything looks good. He put pressure on the points that hurt last time and none of them hurt anymore. Then they said the next appointment will be in two months! Which okay fine but for all the money I pay I wish they would do more than just “let me heal with the jaw splint”. How about give me guidance and meet with me instead of asking if I did this or that or hoping I’m doing what you asked me to. My appointments are maybe 5 minutes long.
I still have my lovely cough, and I cough in the day time now.
It’s been on the cool side lately in Utah but I don’t mind too much. Work is semi slow today but I do have a few things I plan to do while maybe listening to my iPod!

Later tonight Spencer and I are going to walk through the Taft’s house so he can get an idea of what the place attached to theirs looks like. I’m really excited because I’m curious what he will think of the whole layout. Like I said if we aren’t supposed to rent a bigger place yet that’s fine I will deal with it. The landlord of the place used to be in the ward we are in. She seems really nice so at least we will have a good landlord. (Not that I have had any bad landlords)

Move or Not to Move is the question! lol

Monday evening-
After we ate dinner we watched Les Miserable (how ever you spell it)…. It was BORING! And so very long, I’m not sure why people like it so much. There were a few interesting moments.
Then I walked to Ellie’s house to borrow the book “How we decide”, it’s a psychology type book. While I waited outside of their apartment complex for her I got 3 bug bites; one on my forehead, one on my left arm, and one on my left hand. I think the bushes around them attract these bugs. I didn’t even have to go camping to get bug bites.
Then a family from our ward, The Taft’s, told us their duplex (the one attached to them) will be for rent at the end of June. So Spencer and I discussed this a little bit.
It is a two bedroom, double the size of our place now. It’s still in our ward boundaries; it is across the street from Smith’s and by two elementary schools (or close to them). It has a dish washer, a bathtub, washer/dryer hook ups! One downside is you can’t have pets but we have wanted to have our own washer/dryers and a bathtub. I’m not sure if we can paint the walls yet. It will be going for $850 and about $30 a month for electricity and gas is about the same. They did say that in the summer depending on how much you run the ceiling fans and such it can go up to $90 tops. We’d have to stay there for a long time if you did decide to take the place & not spend money on a lot of other things. So right now we are just thinking about it for a few days and see what we decide. I have likes & dislikes about the place. It would be nice to walk through it (I’ve seen the Taft’s and their place is basically the exact same layout but Spencer hasn’t seen their whole place yet). So I think looking at the Taft’s place or the place that will be available would be nice for Spencer.
It would be really exciting to move but different so we will see. But eventually we will need a bigger place and this could be a nice start.
Other than that Spencer played Guitar Hero & did the dishes & some homework. I read my book a little and watched some TV shows on my phone. I was super tired but when we did go to bed around 10:30 it really took me forever to really go to sleep.

Tuesday-
I slept in a lot this morning and didn’t work out. I know, I know! But I do want to work out and I will for sure tomorrow morning and then I have my jaw appointment again finally. Other than that it’s been a windy morning. The landlord and a few of his workers were fixing up the place next door that’s for rent. And I’ve been trying not to itch my bug bites. I tried out this spray shampoo, it’s supposed to help get the oils out of your hair if you don’t shower that day. It kind of worked but not a whole bunch. Not too much going on at work today, I am kind of tired but probably because I slept too much. So I can’t wait to get back to my normal schedule of sleeping.

I plan to call the Landlord during my break today to ask a few questions and get a better idea of the place.

Man I would love to just soak in a bathtub right now and listen to my favorite songs. Hmm well today will go by fast, hopefully. Other than that Spencer will be at school all night so I will just chill out at home.

Have a wonderful windy day!

On a random note my sister-in-law Erin; their boy’s name will be Lucas Miles Peacock =]

Park City Weekend

Thursday evening-
After the morning shift at work I went home and relaxed for a little while. No I didn’t work out; it’s hard to in the middle of the day. I watched Gone, a pretty good movie. Then I cleaned the house a little bit. Then went to Jessica’s to help sort out all of the Scentsy orders. Then visit taught Margret with Toni. I found out Toni is pregnant and due in December. All babies are due in August or December it seems lately. Afterwards I bought Little Ceasers for Spencer and I and then we watched Men and Black 1. A fairly funny movie.

Friday-
We slept in on our day off for a little bit. I didn’t end up working out, if Spencer isn’t up yet it’s harder to just get up and leave him there. I dropped off Scentsy at work before we left. Spencer got my Season 2 of Doctor Who on DVD!!! It’s my favorite season because it has David Tennent as the Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose! We then drove to Park City to celebrate our soon to be 1 year anniversary at Silver King hotel. The room was double the size of our place. There was a hot tub in there & 2 bathrooms. The one shower was double the size of our shower and the other bathroom had a Jacuzzi bathtub. There were also 2 TV’s and of course cable. We walked to
Main Street
which was pretty much up hill. We didn’t walk to the very top of all the malls because after awhile it was kind of boring. There were a few cool shops though. We got little animals for the two new nephews coming around August. And Spencer got me a cool bracelet kind of like the one I lost that I got at the 4 corners. Walking was pretty much my work out. We went swimming in the pool and then tried out the Sauna for a little bit. Then we went to the store to get a few snacks… including MINI blue bunny ice cream containers. We did watch a lot of TV shows, one because there wasn’t a WHOLE lot to do and two because they had DISNEY Channel and I don’t usually get to finish episodes on that channel at work because I only get 15 minute breaks. They had a super comfy bed!

Saturday-
I slept TERRIBLE. My legs hurt from walking so much so they were in pain. Then the phones kept blinking and the Comcast thing had a bright light on it. And I was HOT, we had the air on but I was just super uncomfortable. I was coughing a lot in the morning too. I thought maybe it was either allergies or a cold coming on. We made cinnamon rolls for breakfast and watched some cartoons. I really wanted to fly up in a balloon (cost 100 dollars a person but some are more expensive) or go horseback riding… but neither of that happened. So instead Spencer has never been to Wyoming so we drove up to Evanston, Wyoming to check out this one little store my family and I always talk about. And then we had KFC and left to come back to Salt Lake City. I liked getting away but I thought Saturday would be a fun filled day in Park City but we really didn’t do like anything. We did drive around and see a lot of nice houses (they had A LOT of houses for sale) and we also saw this BIG tree with tons of shoes hanging off of it. I was a little disappointed but for the most part I loved just being with my husband before he has to start working at 6am in the morning plus school all the time. When we did get home I took a nap. While I was napping Spencer went and bought Men in black 1 & 2. The 2nd movie came with tickets for the 3rd movie. So after we watched the second movie we went to the theaters to watch the 3rd one. They were all pretty funny! Then we got Guitar Hero in the mail. Spencer & I played Band Hero together though, that was fun! And I got my LDS Business College Certificate in the mail!

Sunday-
My cough is worse at night so I try to take some medicine to help me sleep and not wake up coughing. It probably is just allergies because other than that I just sneeze a lot. In nursery we had about 7 kids, so it was a lot nosier then last Sunday. One of the kids dad stayed in with him, which was really nice for the boy’s to have a guy to play with. I wish a guy would come in sometimes to just help out with the boys that need a little more “guy” attention. Afterwards I went to Jessica’s to do some laundry. And I watched Duet’s on Hulu. I also played a few games with J and talked with Jessica. Afterwards I went home to be with Spencer. We watched A bug’s life, and took another needed nap. It’s been a super hot day.

Monday-
I didn’t work out again. Life should be in order by Tuesday so I should start up again. Sometimes life happens and it gets in the way of a few things. And I haven’t sat and watched some of my Netflix shows for awhile. So this morning I watched some shows while I got ready for the day. There have been a lot of phone calls at work, other than that it’s a pretty relaxed day. I am a little tanner but not too much. It’s going to be another HOT day today. But I’ve been trying to drink at least two cups of water in the morning, then a cup at work and then one or two when I get home. I need to keep hydrated.

I have a nice book to read and a show to watch. Then after my break I will probably type up a few pages I need to type up.
I will have pictures of the place down below.
