Here is another Monday. It’s even a holiday, sadly Spencer and I both don’t get it off but at least he got school off =]
Friday night I went to see “The Vow” with my good friend Channelle, it wasn’t a bad movie but I didn’t cry. It just wasn’t the really romantic movie I’ve been looking for. I hope “The Lucky One” will be the type I’m looking for. That comes out in a few months. Either way it was a pretty good movie and I had fun talking with Channelle and hanging out with her. We ran into Jazz traffic for awhile so I ended up staying in her car to talk until it all died down.
Then Saturday was a fun filled day with my wonderful husband. It was our 8 month Anniversary! We slept in a little and then ate breakfast while we watched old cartoons on YouTube like Pepper Ann & Recess. Then we got ready for the day and off we went to Desert Books, where we got a puzzle of Christ which is 1,000 pieces; it’s going to be a lot harder than I thought but it will be worth it. Then Spencer bought some DVDs he has been wanting from their. Then we went out to Target to get some T-shirts we need for family pictures we are taking in March. Spencer got a brown shirt & a gray shirt. I got a bright blue shirt and a green shirt. It’s always exciting getting new clothes.
Then we went to Arby’s to get some much needed food. It was all delicious. We ate it while we watched Sherlock Holmes. After the movie was over we went to Sandy . We drove on some new roads and saw some pretty places. We stopped at Wal-mart to get a kite for future use and a picture frame for the puzzle when it’s done. Then off to the South Towne center mall, where we got the harry potter clue game. Afterwards we went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. It was a nice place. I ordered this fettuccine pasta but it ended up having spices & seasonings in it that burnt my throat. I asked for them to take it back and instead I bought a dessert; chocolate waffles with ice cream and hot fudge! It was very delicious and so was their bread that they brought out at the beginning.
Spencer ordered some steak that was cooked very nicely so I ate a few pieces of that.
Then we drove home to relax from our busy night. It was nice to get out of the house and spend some time together.
Before we ended the night I asked for a blessing, they always give me reminded comfort. They keep my sane. I will list a few pointers though of what I remember.
- In nursery I will learn the simplicity of the gospel, and be brought back to the basics.
- I should support the leaders and the children’s parents
- Know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me very much
- I will come closer to Christ through my daily prayers
- The things I have learned from my job will help me in my life and in future jobs
- Always be there and help my family
- God knows what I need when I need it, and I have difficult times for a reason
Then Sunday we went to church. In Nursery we only had 3 kids. It was a very relaxed day compared to last Sunday when we had all 8 and only 2 leaders. But we of course had our normal meltdowns and fights occasionally but all in all it was a great day. We had a balloon for each of them and I took some cute pictures of them enjoying the balloons. Then we came home and ate lunch then I slept from about 2:30-4:30pm. It took me awhile to fully wake up after that but I read my book and cuddled with Spencer while we watched some movies on Netflix. Then we ate dinner and eventually got ready for bed. I did decide to sign up for an institute class, I know its half way through the semester but its free and I’d like to do something besides work and clean the house. It is on Thursday nights on the teachings of the living prophets. It will be fun!
This morning we slept in a little bit and got up to read and do homework. We noticed we got our tax return so that’s very exciting!! =] That just lifts a lot of burdens off my shoulders money wise.
Now just at work enjoying the day as much as possible. Spencer has a surprise for me so I’m really excited also for the end of the work day. =] The house is fairly clean except for the puzzle mess on our carpet. The puzzle is too big to fit on any of our tables so it’s cluttering a few spaces on the ground but that might make us do it quicker. =]
I have a semi busy week coming up but that always keeps me on my toes and busy.
Hope all of you have a wonderful week, eventually I will post a list of nicknames Spencer and I came up with from candy names for those in a relationship. It was fun and interesting =]
We also blogged on our blog, check it out: sharingourlove8611.blogspot.com
I'm excited to see your puzzle! Could you use the picture frame as a "table" to put it together on?
ReplyDeleteYou guys always do such nice stuff together.
Dad & I drove up little Cottonwood Canyon on Saturday & then used our Market Frest Grill gift certificate. I had the shrimp (yummy) and Dad was brave & tried the Fresh Tuna that was flown in from Hawaii! It was $31 but we figured since we had the certificate it was a good time to try it. He said it really didn't have any flavor & certainly wasn't worth $31! I felt bad but hey atleast he tired & now he knows he won't do that again!
When we got to Tooele we stopped at Cold Stone & had one of their brownie/ice cream treats.
Hooray for the tax return :) We haven't filed ours yet. I have all the paper work gathered we just need to set an appointment with Bro. Mauchley.
Oh thats a brilliant idea!!
DeleteWe try to do things other than watch TV but sometimes its hard to be creative.
Oh that sounds nice, too bad there was no flavor but at least he tried something new.
I sure miss coldstone i'm surprised there isn't one right in Salt Lake.
Yeah I am glad to get it all done and over with. I really could never be a Tax person though.
Good luck!
