Idaho trip

I just realized that I wasn’t at work on Friday so I didn’t blog, Thursday was basically my Friday. =]

I had a really rough day on Thursday but right now I am just glad it’s over. Nothing really much to talk about just having a girl moment. Where you become upset over the silliest things in the world. I was really glad that I didn’t have work on Friday because of it. I took an hour or so for myself on Thursday to just think and take some time for me. When I got home Karen, Steve (my in laws), and Erin (a friend from California) was there. Erin went to meet up with someone she knew here. And the rest of us went out to eat at Sizzler. It was a fairly nice night. I saw Brother Mauchley there, which I didn’t expect. Afterwards we went back home and watched a Sherlock episode on Netflix. Then we all got the sleeping areas situated. Then off to bed.

We got up semi early and got everything packed up to head up to Idaho to visit some more Peacock family. Not too bad off a trip, just been awhile since I’ve been in a car for about 4 ½ hours. We made about one stop on the way and we had pretty nice weather. We watched a DVD of the Celtic women concerts. We met up with Jessica and Dianne a little later and then went off to Desert Books, Desert Industries, and had some lunch. Later on we went on about a 2 ½ hour drive to this one place to see a blue grass band. Spencer’s parents knew one of the girls and wanted to surprise her. I actually liked a few of their songs. But sadly towards the end I got cranky because I was really hungry.
We later went over to
Artic Circle
, I was craving fish. So I had their halibut and it was SO good, totally mouth watering and delicious. We got back to Rexburg about 1am.

I was exhausted so Spencer and I crashed right away. We stayed at Trulee’s house, she is I think a cousin to Karen. They have a big house and are nice to let us stay over whenever we come up to Rexburg. We got up around 8am to head out to West Yellowstone. It’s not open but we go up to look around the shops and stuff. Erin hadn’t been a lot of places before so they wanted to show her up there. Sadly it was spring break up there for people so 75% of the shops were closed so they could stay home with their kids. We only went in about 4-5 shops then had some pizza. On the way back we stopped at a few bodies of water. One was frozen and Spencer went to go slide on it a little bit. And tried to break it. I stayed in the nice warm car. We then went to the store to buy food for Sunday and then went back to Jessica’s house to hang out for a little bit. A few of them went to walk to the temple. Then we were going to play a game and they never ended up happening. Lol
Afterwards Spencer and I and his parents went to Coldstone to get ice cream. YUM! I haven’t had that type of ice cream in awhile so it was really nice.

We slept like a rock again and got up around 730 to get ready for church. We went to Jessica’s ward. Mike came back from a school field trip at 1:30am that morning. Her ward has about 20 babies in it. They were all cute but one would cry then someone else’s baby would cry. It was just super distracting. But a pretty nice ward. Then we had a little time so we stopped at the "Snack House", they said that these garter snakes surround and live in this house especially in the summer, its like a breeding ground. In my head i'm picturing an old run down house. But no they pull up to this house thats maybe 4 years old. It's so nice! But apparently people moved in and it smelled so bad and there were snakes ALL over. Spencer and I got out to look around. We didn't think to try and opent he door (the house was found vacant in 2010) so i'm not sure whats going on. But we tried to peek through the windows and didn't see any snakes. (sad the house looks SO nice too bad snakes kind of took it over) I HATE snakes but I wanted to at least see one (far away) to believe this story. So I decided to walk in the grass with Spencer and see if we see any. I followed him and I was watching the ground closely. All of a sudden this kind of long snake slithers in front of me (it was kind of blended in with the dead color of the grass) I SCREAMED and ran away. It scared me and I don't like snakes so gross! AHHH It was terrifying. From a distant I would of been okay with seeing a ton of them but its not warm enough yet. But the house just sits there because animal lovers wont let them burn the house down (even though it wouldn't really hurt the snakes) and no one will live in a house like that because they stink! Afterwards we got ingredients and went back to Trulee’s house to make dinner for us all. Erin, Spencer, and I played some card games. Then some of Trulee’s kids played with us too. It was nice to finally play a game. Then we all ate dinner. It was pretty good. Then all pretty much relaxed and then ate dessert a little later. By 7pm we all packed up and we headed back to Utah. It was a pretty nice ride back. We watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and it was almost as long as the drive. We stopped at the rest stop right in Utah. And when I got out of the car I sneezed and then I sneezed again before getting into the car. I said I am allergic to Utah lets go back to Idaho. Then the rest of the way I talked and blabbered on and on with Erin. It kept me awake. We got back around 11pm.  Then we all got ready for bed. Before bed I opened part of my present from Karen & Steve. It was a peacock compact mirror. It is gorgeous; I will have to post a picture sometime soon. Love it!

Woke up semi early this morning and they all got ready to head back to California. Then I went off to my specialist to see about my jaw. I was told on the phone that it was the CT scan and then the exam and it would be about 1 ½ appointment. I went I got a quick scan that lasted 1 minute and then they said okay let’s set up another appointment for you for the exam. I was like wait a minute she said on the phone that it was going to be this long and I was going to do everything. I don’t understand why I have to wait….. grr! So I have to go back on Thursday. Which is fine but I was hoping I could get it all done today.

Then I went to work and we had a project so I didn’t get on the computer until like 1:30. But it sure helped pass the time.

Now hopefully before I get off work I can make up a grocery list for grocery shopping tonight. We desperately need more groceries. Lol

Other than that I’ve just been thinking about life and what I want to do next with it. One idea was maybe go back to school again and learn about psychology since it’s so fascinating to me. I just have been feeling lately that I need to do something else. Either get a full time job, go back to school, or something else. So I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately. And I’ve been praying about it to know what I should do. I’m really excited for General Conference this coming weekend. It will be interesting to see what the prophet and apostles have to say. I can’t wait to hear their insight about a few things. It might help me lean more towards what I maybe should be doing.

I did think about school and how it will be exciting but the school part of it might suck out all of the fun in psychology. And I would burn out fast when I went back. So if I don’t go back to school I might just buy some books on psychology and learn more myself. We shall see. =]

Have a fabulous day; we got some nice moisture this morning so that was good for Utah. =]
