Buttoning pants
Monday evening-
Yesterday after work my doors were almost all frozen shut so it was fun to have to crawl over the seats to get to the drivers seat with a pregnant belly. This car is always an adventure but once I got home I kicked super hard on the door and it popped open. I don’t mind this cold just because I’m inside most of the time but it’s doing a number on my car and that is upsetting me because it makes everything more difficult than it should be. After work I hurried and grabbed the laundry and headed over to the laundry mat to meet up with Channelle. She brought her friend/roommate Heather and ended up not bringing laundry because she didn’t need to anymore. So basically it was just me doing laundry but it was nice to have the company. We talked about ALL sorts of things. 1. When to plan the baby shower 2. Roommate issues 3. Old friends 4. A road trip to Tooele sometime because Channelle still hasn’t been there or met my dad. Anyways just some good times and got my laundry done! Then went home and did the dishes and Spencer put the clothes away. And we watched a few TV shows and were ready for bed by like 930.
Tuesday-
I got up at 630 for my jaw appointment at 7am. So apparently after paying 1900 that only covers like 5 appointments and your jaw splint. And a so called recall appointment means an additional cost. So I got a letter in the mail saying it was time for my recall appointment. And in all the paper work we got it says those will contain additional costs but they never remind you that (keep in mind there are 6 months in between these appointments). So my last appointment they said they would call to schedule my next appointment in 6 months. I never call a phone call, I got a letter in the mail and both things never reminded me that this would be an additional cost. But they say if you have a jaw splint it’s important to come to these appointments but if it’s going to cost me more than I’m not going to come to anymore. So I had to pay 85 dollars for this appointment, on a plus side though my doctor said he didn’t like my jaw splint so they are making me a new one free of charge (which they cost 1300) so that’s kind of nice but I’m going to stop wearing it after awhile because I can’t afford these appointments. I am going to write them a letter just saying I know you say and cover your butt in your LONG paper work you give us at the beginning but you should remind your patients about the fee (not those exact words). So I was pretty upset about that because what if I didn’t have money at that time. Anyways so I got home from that and read some of my book and watched a few little video clips and then later decided I had time for a nap and it was fabulous because I usually don’t get a nap. Then I headed off to work. With the convention tomorrow there will be 10 of us left here at work and ALL the distributors and dealers will be going to the convention too. So the only phone calls we will probably get besides wrong numbers will be customers who want to purchase a floor which we don’t get lots of those so we are planning on maybe to ordering pizza at work and just chilling and just hoping I don’t get bored out of my mind. And maybe hopefully we get a bonus for having to stick around here in the emptiness of it all.
After work I don’t have any plans except to keep warm inside.

I’m starting to struggle buttoning up my pants but I have things to fix that once I can’t do it anymore. Then just excited to go to Sweet Pea sometime to shop for Mr. Isaac!

We'd love a visit from Channelle!!! We're home this weekend :) The 26th we have a Miata club meeting in Bountiful(at 5 pm)....so you could come in the morning :) Sweet Pea is another good reason to come visit!
ReplyDeleteSucks about the dental stuff. I'm glad they are making you a new splint but just because you won't go back for the extra appointments doesn't mean you have to stop wearing it....especially if it is helping, otherwise you spent all that money for nothing :(
I'm sure if you talk to them when you go to get the new splint he will be happy to explain things to you.....he won't be able to not charge you but might be able to give you some helpful advise for what to do if you can't/won't come back for rechecks.
As for the pants issue: I've used a ponytail holder....you put it through the button hole & then wrap each end around the button....it gives you a little extra room until you need to move to the next phase with a belly band or elastic waisted pants.
If she wants to go with me this weekend sometime after 5 her and I will be meeting to discuss a baby shower so maybe we can come then but the 26th Daniel is getting married so not sure what that whole day looks like but I will talk to Channelle.
DeleteWell if you wear a jaw splint so long without going once or twice a year to make sure all is well it can do bad things to your teeth well here is what the letter said "These devices must be kept in adjustment if they are to function properly. It is also necessary to inspect these devices periodically in order to avoid problems with your jaw, teeth, or gums." And I did ask the lady if I wear it forever and she says no you can stop wearing it at anytime. I like wearing it but I don't want to have to pay once or twice a year to get it adjusted.
Yeah that's what I did yesterday, i'm in that awkward stage where ponytail holder wasn't tight enough but some jeans buttons are too tight to keep buttoned lol and I have belly bands so i'm ready for that, and sometimes I wear them cuz they help when I don't have a belt on.
If you come this weekend after 5 Sweet Pea won't be open but we can do that another time I guess :)
ReplyDeleteJust let me know what you guys decide.
Can you just get the splint checked on when you do your regular dental visits instead of making a "special" appt for just that?
Spencer probably would want me to wait after the shower to buy things from Sweet Pea but we will make a day of it for sure.
DeleteNo because dentist don't have the tools to re-adjust the splint if it needs adjusting. But I wish!
