(this was Monday's post i forgot to post)

Friday evening-
Spencer did some homework while I watched some TV shows. Afterwards we decided to take a walk to the Big Smith’s and get a few things. We finally got WD 40 for our squeaky back door and car door. WD 40 works miracles! Then I watched my “The Suite Life on Deck” Disney channel show.

Saturday-
This morning Spencer went to help the Stake Center clean up a camp site for the Young Women’s camp. I watched some TV then took a short nap. Because our Relief Society Cabin trip was canceled I offered to help an investigator in our church paint her place. We helped paint the bathroom white and the kitchen yellow. I’m surprised the landlord didn’t fix up the place. The walls were an ugly color and really messy looking. We had fun, sadly not a ton of people came to help but I was there. It was a lot of fun, I do wish there were girls there from Relief Society, from the 4 hours I was there it was only me plus guys and missionary couples. Then I headed home and ate a quick lunch before picking Spencer up. I’ve decided I’m going to try to do my hair nice (straighten or try something new) and wear make up almost every day! It makes me feel good about myself when I actually do something besides wear nice outfits. The one downside is that after awhile make up makes me itch. I’m not sure if I’m just allergic to this certain brand or it’s because I don’t wear make up often so my eyes aren’t used to it. (It’s mainly the mascara) We took a short nap then ventured out in the HOT weather to drive to South Towne mall. Spencer got a few new white button up shirts and slacks for work. (Much needed) And I went to Aeropostale and got a cute pair of Capri’s! Then we came home and I did the dishes, after I do the dishes it always makes me feel accomplished. Then we made a stop at Andrew’s birthday party for a couple minutes. It was around 100 degrees out today so for the rest of the night we relaxed indoors.

Sunday-
We had 6 kids in nursery today and it was a fairly calm day. It is always interesting to see a kid always be nice or always be mean and then all of a sudden one day they are the total opposite. I mean every kid has to go through different stages to become who they are going to be but it’s hard to get used to. After church I got the laundry ready and headed over to Jessica’s. We hung out for a little while but then Jessica and her friend headed out to visit teach so I watched J and Emma while they were gone. I didn’t have to watch them too much though because they play pretty well together and are pretty behaved. So I watched some Suite Life on Deck on my phone. I left around 5:15 with pretty much all the laundry done.
Then I quickly at dinner and relaxed with my husband for a bit before heading to the Relief Society Fireside. The lady that spoke was the lady from Time out for Women. She is actually a really good speaker. A few things we learned.
1.      We literally are a Daughter of God
2.      Let Him confirm to you that he hears and knows you
3.      He has a plan for our lives
4.      Give yourself an identity.
5.      God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has.” –Elder Holland (2004 CES Fireside)
6.      “I will order all things for your good as fast as you are able to receive them” D&C
7.      Who would you want to be to your Heavenly Father? (in one word)
8.      Nothing is going to startle us more until we go through the veil and realize how much we know our Father in Heaven.
9.      John 10:3
10.  He will be ready to give us what we ask for
11.  Just step back
12.  What if the Lord has something better for you than what you want for yourself
I’ve wanted to go to Relief Society at least once a month. But I’ve been too afraid to bring it up in Nursery to the leaders. But after this fireside I ran into on of the leaders. She said this made me miss Relief Society, so I brought up that maybe we can start taking turns so each of us can go to Relief Society every once in a while. And she said that now that we all have good leaders that we could start that. I’m really excited that she felt that way and I was able to talk to her about it. =]
Afterwards I went home and watched some TV before heading off to bed.

Monday-
So far it’s been a good morning. I’m working a full day at work so I had to get up early. But I’m doing fairly well so far. I plan on typing up a few things, reading, and watching some TV shows. I need to take a break from Bones because I was having bad dreams and not sleeping well. It’s interesting how certain shows have an affect on you and your dreams. Wish me luck to get through this day. So far I have a knot in my shoulder that’s uncomfortable and if I don’t keep myself buys with this I get sleepy.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Countdown-

28 days until something awesome!!!
45 days until Spencer is out of this semester (33 if you don’t count the weekends or holidays)
65 days until Chicago/Iowa!!!
