Friday evening-
The Mill’s ended up cancelling on us for dinner since it was snowing (which didn’t last long at all but better safe then sorry I guess). So being pregnant I had been excited about food so I was upset and didn’t know what we should eat. And then Spencer came home late so I was emotionally unstable but we figured we would go to Taco Bell and then we got the RedBox movie “Here comes the Boom” it wasn’t too bad of a movie. We had a bad night, he went to read and go to bed and I stayed up and organized the ottoman and our bookshelf. I’m missing my children’s hymn book and it’s driving me crazy! I’m not sure what happened because I always put it back in the same place (sorry mom)
Hopefully I will find it soon, I’m pretty sure I didn’t loan it to anyone but maybe I did and forgot. Blasted so that’s been a little frustrating.
Saturday-
Week 24! My phone decided to do a software update. Once it finished it changed a few things in my phone and was slower than SNOT! Eventually it became a little faster and I figured things out. My favorite game on my phone wasn’t working so that sucked but I decided to uninstall it and reinstall and so now thankfully it works better!
I had another rough moody morning, ugh poor Spencer I’m really sorry. We got ready and I headed out quick to take some pictures for my class. I went to Memorial Grove but it was snowy and cold and I wasn’t in the mood so I didn’t take as much as I should have. I just don’t like taking pictures in the winter it’s just dirty and gross most of the time. I stopped by the store quick then headed home. I came home and organized the bathroom and cleaned the floors. We kind of just kicked around the house and didn’t do a whole bunch but work on our talks here and there. Around 730 or 8 we noticed there was a car accident in front of our place again like two weeks ago. (Only that time we missed out on all the action). When we noticed I was spying through our bedroom window and heard a the cop yell at one of the guys to stand right in front of our place and not move or he would send him to jail. Eventually I moved outside and my neighbor came out too and we met up with our top neighbors. We stayed outside for about two hours watching the whole thing. I missed the actual accident. But it was super fun to chill out with the neighbors, especially my top neighbors they are nice. Basically there was a parked car and a car slide and hit it and then 4 more cars slide and hit back to back. All cars worked fine and no one was hurt so I didn’t feel bad watching live entertainment. The one guy was the husband to the girl in the first car and he was freaking out and once the cop turned away he left his wife there and walked away and never came back! What a jerk! So most of the action was everyone waiting to be told they could leave.
An actual person did get hit by one of the cars sliding but he was fine. I did finally tell my neighbors we were expecting a baby so that’s finally off my chest. Then we just sat and told stories. Apparently the top neighbors are members but not active so that’s something new and they did stop smoking and that’s always good. Then all the cars moved around 10pm and there was nothing else so we all left to go to bed.
Sunday-
Happy 25th Birthday Spencer!
I did not sleep very well so I just woke up in a bad mood. In general I just was ready for this talk giving to be over because I didn’t want to do it. We had to get to church a little earlier so we hurried out the door and had a short little meeting before sacrament started. Before sacrament Spencer said oh he looks like Elder Oaks but it probably isn’t. I started freaking out though because that would be cool if he was here but I was NOT ready to be talking with someone that high up listening to my words. I was already emotional about the situation and that didn’t help. So we sat on the stand and what do you know it’s Elder Dallin H. Oaks who will be sitting right next to me. He really didn’t say much but you really can feel the Spirit that comes from their presence. I almost cried, it was great for him to be there but I felt terrible because I was not in the best mood or had the right attitude. When we sang the opening him we shared the hymn book with him and I was squished in the middle of him and Spencer, I couldn’t hear myself sing lol Also I went to the bathroom before sacrament because I didn’t want ot have to go during the meeting. But of course that’s when Isaac decides to start kicking my bladder during the first speaker. Ugh so I couldn’t wait any longer and had to leave during the meeting, it was embarrassing because everyone sees you but you have to go when you have to go thanks to babies kicking. But I calmed down and when it was my turn to speak I was shaky for the first two paragraphs or so and then I calmly read my talk and didn’t rush through it. It still was only 5-8 minutes long probably but I did pretty well besides not having a good attitude about the situation.
Spencer’s talk was amazing, and when he speaks about the Gospel he always makes me proud to be his wife. Towards the end Elder Oaks asked when I was due and I said June 1st and then we shook his hand and were on our way. On a side note he dozes off in sacrament meeting too. It was a great experience to meet someone so high up in the gospel. He said he didn’t have any Stake business so he decided to stop by our ward. He didn’t speak in our sacrament meeting he was fine just being there. It was a lot of pressure giving a talk in front of him, it was for me anyways. I don’t think he judges our talks but maybe in my heart it was more I didn’t feel like I had 100% given my all to the talk and so maybe he felt that. But I guess God is always listening to us too and he is the highest there is.
Anyways after that I went to nursery and it was another fairly calm day with 5 or 6 kids. We had cupcakes and what messy faces there were lol
Nursery age kids are so helpful and loving, they melt my heart.
After church we headed home and because of the snow we didn’t want to risk a couple weeks ago when we had a hard time coming home from laundry. So we didn’t go to Jessica’s and of course because we didn’t it stopped snowing a little while later. Go figure! We watched some Netflix and ate lunch then I tried to take a nap. Which I’m not sure I really slept well again but oh well.
Then we watched The Emperor’s new groove while doing a few things. Later we watched Home Improvement while playing Rumikub.
Monday-
I woke up this morning and took my time getting ready. I watched some shows on Hulu and took a shower. Then had some bonding time with Isaac, I read him a book and talked to him for a little bit.
Not too bad outside, so headed off to work. There isn’t much going on here so maybe I will read my book or something.
I would really like to get another pair of pants but that probably won’t happen, oh well.
Just have my photography class tonight and will also be doing some dishes.
Pregnancy-
Week 24- Isaac is the size of a grapefruit/corn
I am up to 128 pounds, so we are making progress here and there. I really am trying to eat more food but it’s just hard because I dislike food so much. Lol unless it’s already made for me then it’s easier to eat it. He still kicks about the same nothing crazy. This morning he was kicking a little so I decided to sit and talk to him and watch my belly move. And decided why not read him a children’s book this morning too. We had some bonding time. Isaac also now kicks my bladder so that's been fun!
Countdown-
28 days until our birthing classes start
33 days until the
46 days until our maternity photo shoot!
82 days until the Tooele baby shower
110 days until Squirt’s due date!

ReplyDeleteHope your days get better sounds like pregnancy isn't agree with you lately :(
Maybe things will be better now that the stress of the talk if over.
So exicting to have Elder Oaks in your ward and to sit by him and sing with him :) Not many people have that opportunity.
nah pregnancy isn't too bad, especially not as bad as I thought it might be. But yeah I just don't like food and that's hard when your supposed to eat more and a variety of foods.
DeleteYeah it was a crazy experience, nice guy!
