Thunderstorms expected

Wednesday afternoon-

Basically I went home and watched TV shows while Spencer was at church. I didn’t really do any cleaning but our house has stayed fairly clean besides the kitchen but I will work on that tonight. He came home fairly late. We read our scriptures than read our own books and started getting ready for bed. I put in my jaw splint for the night.

Thursday-

I woke up a few times my tongue is kind of sore from it rubbing and hit the jaw splint in the night. Other than that its Spencer’s last day of school this semester!!! I mean he only gets like a 3 week break until the next semester but it just means he is getting closer and closer! I woke up around 8:30 and watched a few episodes on Hulu then some Rachel Ray. I packed my lunch for work and off I went. We didn’t get a thunderstorm last night like I hoped for. But they say we will have one today through Saturday. Hopefully one of those days we will actually get a good rain fall and thunderstorm. Especially in the day time bring on a storm! =] My hair did a pretty natural curl this morning that always makes me happy. Not too much going on today though. The clouds are looking ready to burst.

It’s almost Friday, man the week sure goes by fast and I feel better than I did at the beginning of the week. A lot has happened but has been fixed =]

Just going to do my normal reading and typing up papers. Yay how exciting! =]

Enjoy your Thursday

Tonight I’m going to institute to talk about Elder Eyrings talk.

My jaw splint, see kind of looks like a retainer =]

Jaw Splint

Tuesday afternoon-

Work went by fairly fast as I tried to figure out a few things. Then I picked up Spencer from work and we headed home and made Tacos. Yummy yummy. Then around 7pm I went to the Book Club. We talked about “The secret life of Bees”, and it was pretty fun. It was awhile ago that I finished the book but once we started talking I remembered more and more. It is a pretty good read and you learn quite a lot about bees. Then after we talked about the book we just wanted to talk as girls. Especially me because I don’t get out a lot of times. I still am getting to know some of the girls so it was nice to chat a little bit. As woman we did talk about our husbands a little bit. One talked about some things she hates having to remind him. It was funny because I was going to defend Spencer. =] Which is a good thing, I never got around to doing it though because the subject was changed to dreams before I got around to bringing it up. It was a fairly nice night. Then I came home and Spencer and I read our scriptures and then our own personal books. I slept fairly well except for my mind kept thinking I was going to wake up to a snake because we were talking about creepy animals at the book club.

Wednesday morning-

I got up around 6:30am and sent Spencer off to school. Then I watched Glee, it was the come back episode and honestly I thought it was pretty lame. (I won’t say much more because then I might give it away for those who haven’t seen it yet) Then I got ready to head to my jaw appointment. I paid the 1,748 bill for my upcoming appointments. And got all the insurance figured out and they sent out my papers to them. Then I went in the back to get the jaw splint fitted to my mouth. I need to wear it at night and if I have a hard time keeping my teeth apart during the day I need to wear it for about 30 minutes. It went fairly well. Then my doctor said if I wasn’t going to be on this birth control until August then I don’t have to change my birth control right now. And I was able to take ALL my pills except the fish oil and calcium. I did try really hard this morning but they are just so big. He said it was okay for me to just take my gummy vitamins for calcium and get the liquid form of fish oil at the health food store. (I’m not sure where that is though) So we are all good to go and I’m less stressed. I got it all paid off and things figured out. Now I just need to read the TMJ book which helps me fix other little things. For example posture and proper swallowing and talking… etc.
I came home and made Beef Stew in the Crockpot for dinner so it will be ready when we get home. Then I did the dishes and plan to clean tonight while Spencer is at church!

Then Spencer and I figured that June 1st-2nd we are going to stay in a hotel in Park City for our Anniversary on the 18th. We got a 30% discount because we did it at the beginning of the month. The first hotel that was cheaper you had to be 25 to get a room which was ridiculous I think. So Spencer looked around and found a deal and an 18 year old limit! =] So I’m super excited to go up there for a little while. So I came to work and got that day off so I wouldn’t forget. We got the ink in the mail so I just changed it out and were all set to go now! =]

I feel great right now, life is moving in the right direction finally. For the work day I plan to read my books and type up some journals. It’s going to be a pretty good day today before our 3 day rain storm. (So the weather says) But we need the moisture so I’m okay with it as long as there is no more snow. =]

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

The Hunger Games

Monday afternoon-

I wanted to scream at work. I had so many questions without answers and NO ONE was there to answer them. So I left messages and emails hoping to get a reply in the morning. Nothing! Now we got postage figured out so that was no problem but we need more ink so we can print the postage. But I’m not sure how to do that because the person I’ve been trying to ask hasn’t been responding to me. And postage is VERY important as part of my job. We need to send out mail. Sigh and it just got worse. Anyways I was really trying to stay calm but it wasn’t working. So after dinner Spencer said we should go to the movies to distract me from work issues. We went to see The Hunger Games. It was LONG! Not too bad but it was violent which I didn’t care to see. When I read the book I didn’t need to see the violence. There were some parts that made more since by seeing them act it out. Others parts were kind of confusing. It was pretty good but not like OMG that was so good. But it was a fairly good distraction. We had some popcorn and lemonade. We got home about 9:45. So I hurried and wrote in my journal and took a quick shower. Then I went to bed fairly fast. Usually I lay there and think about a lot of things but I just wouldn’t let myself last night it’s not very healthy for me. But I can’t always control it.

Tuesday-

I slept until about 8:30pm and then got up to watch The Price is Right and Rachel Ray. I learned a few things. I got some things ready for my jaw appointment tomorrow, I’m a little nervous. Then I sprayed the house to get rid of some spiders I found. Then got ready for work. It’s another nice day outside. I am a little more relaxed today. Just need to take some deep breaths and calm myself down. So far so good and I would rather feel calm then upset. Now just deciding if I want to change birth control. Either stay on the pill or go to an IEU kind. I will compare and see what will happen.
Now at work I got a little frustrated about the ink stuff again but was able to get it all figured out. So we ordered 2 and it went a lot more smoothly than it did last time. Thank heavens that’s over so we should get them tomorrow. They are needed! Now just reading Henry B. Eyring’s talk from General Conference “Mountains to Climb” for institute on Thursday.
Thursday is Spencer’s last day of school for this semester! It’s super exciting stuff.
Now wish me luck to get through this day.

Grr my nose is BUGGING me today its probably allergies now kicking in. Oh joy

Four day weekend/Happy Easter

Friday was a NO work day for me! Sadly Spencer had to work and still go to school but I was able to get a lot done. At around 10am I was dressed and had eaten. So I started to clean the bedroom and the closets and reorganize the clothes. I changed the sheets to cooler ones for the warmer temperature outside. Then I moved on to the living room. I dusted and I dusted. I reorganized all the shelves and vacuumed the carpet. Then on to the kitchen where I did ALL the dishes and dried them and put them away. Then I organized the fridge and some cupboards. Then moved to the bathroom to clean the sink, toilet, and mirrors and reorganized the shelves then swept and mopped the floors. Afterwards I organized the backroom a little bit and got rid of things we didn’t need. I did stand on the office chair and fell off on to the floor but luckily I moved my body enough that I didn’t smack my head into the corner of the wall. THAT would have hurt! Then needed a few things for dinner. So I walked to Smiths since Spencer had the car for the day. It was a fairly nice walk only took me about 30 minutes there and back ish. Then I got ready to make Chicken Pot Pie for dinner! Later we watched Freedom Writers for his class.

Then Saturday we got up around 8am to get ready for the day. Spencer went to school to do much needed homework. Then I went to Suki’s Bridal shower. It was really good to see her again. Now the party was very awkward… and Suki will agree with me on that one. No point to go into detail but it was not totally what I expected. It was kind of like a Tupperware Party but a different kind. I was NOT a fan of the sales lady. I had a really hard time not judging her. She said she was Mormon but I think she was bringing that up a lot because the group was Mormon so she was advertising in our area. But if she was really Mormon she wouldn’t be selling some things she was selling. I am almost positive it is not okay for her to sell those things. (Half of them anyways) She just really got to me and I was so close to just saying something out loud to make her stop but it wouldn’t have been nice. But it was an interesting experience.
Then off I went to Karlissa’s bridal shower. It was put together very nice. And her fiancĂ© stopped by it was hilarious. The food was great. I am really glad I got to see her. Both of my friends are lucky to have the fiancĂ©’s they have.

It was funny though because the first thing out of both of their mouths were OH MY GOSH you are SO skinny, have you lost weight? You look so good! Lol it was really nice but it took me off guard every time and all eyes were towards me. I wanted to say they looked good to but by the time they stopped telling me all of that it felt weird to re bring it up.
One of the first thoughts in my head though was “was I really huge or something before?” I know I wasn’t that big but I didn’t lose SO much but then again I see myself all the time so I don’t think I look that different.
It was a really nice compliment though. =]

Then I came home and Spencer and I made Fried Chicken. It wasn’t too bad but not like KFC chicken or anything. Then we watched The Audrey Hepburn Story movie, it wasn’t too bad but LONG. Afterwards we went to Smiths and found some good deals on picture frames. I am super excited to add pictures to them soon. It was nice to get out of the house for a little bit.

Then Happy Easter on Sunday! The kids in nursery made me laugh a lot. They just can really put a smile on your face. I love this calling, its one of my favorites! I’ve taken some pretty good pictures too of each of them. We took them for a walk around the church too because it was so nice outside for once.

After church Spencer and I got ready and headed out to Tooele to celebrate Easter. Jessica and Jerimiah were there. We had a yummy ham dinner and then enjoyed the outdoors for awhile. We took Neyo, the Guinea Pig, outside to enjoy some grass and the sunshine. He is such a funny Guinea Pig. Poor Jerimiah got hurt a few times. But we were able to calm him down and he got right back on the swing set. We had a fairly nice time. We did watch Evan Almighty and that’s a pretty good movie. Then around 8pm Spencer and I left back to Salt Lake City. We took my parents Honda Civic because my mom is going to do the inspection on my car so we can update the license plate stickers. (I really hope it passes, it should)

When I got home I did the dishes, then folded and put away all the laundry just so it was done and out of the way. Then Spencer and I read a little bit and headed to bed.

This morning I took him to school and applied to graduate FINALLY. I’ve been a little slow on the process. But luckily I was able to get it all done in a reasonable amount of time and then turned it in. I think everything should be good to go. (I hope so) Then I will finally have my certificate. Then Spencer’s one class was cancelled so we went to Denny’s for some breakfast. They have an amazing Pomegranate Berry Smoothie, its limited time only. Then I dropped him back off at school and hurried home to get ready for work.

Here I am back at work. No offense but I didn’t miss work that much. It is nice to be home and doing other things. Some day hopefully I will get a call about another job that will keep be fairly busy. Until then I try to distract myself from my mind wandering to problems I have or worries I have in general.

Hope you all had a good Easter! Now back to real life. =]

Happy Birthday to my wonderful friend Channelle today! A few days ago our friend Mariah had her birthday too. Happy birthday to you wonderful friends!

Ending of One Tree Hill

Last night Spencer and I went to Applebee’s. I had received a gift card for my birthday from work for Applebee’s so I figured we could go. We were full really fast so we have leftovers but it wasn’t too bad. Then Spencer did a few church things and I watched the last episode EVER of One Tree Hill…..
I cried it’s true. It’s almost like their family and to think you will never see them again. But the episode was put together very nicely and ended everything really well. They did have some inspirational quotes and sayings that I loved. If I think of any I will post them later.

Than Spencer and I did some scripture reading and I stayed up to read more of my book.
Man it was a pretty good book.
I went to bed around 11 but woke up around 1am really hot! We need to change our sheets to cooler temperature ones. And maybe put on a fan. It took me awhile to cool down and fall back asleep. But we awoke around 7:30 and I stayed up! I feel a little sleepy but not as groggy as I do if I sleep until 9 or 10. I hope I can keep this up and clean in the mornings and relax in the evenings. I did finish reading my book this morning! Then I missed Spencer and had some time to kill before work so I stopped by the school to talk with him a little bit.

Now I’m just studying up on Elder Holland’s talk for institute tonight. And answer the questions we were given to answer. It’s kind of quite in the office since everyone left for lunch.

We have work off tomorrow for Good Friday!! I love holidays just because it means no work/school for me! Spencer sadly still has work and school so I plan to make the house super clean and surprise him with a real homemade dinner, one I love to make. I’m really excited; hopefully I can get it all done!

It’s a little chilly outside today but not too bad. After work I plan to find some spearmints to get my breathe minty instead of gum. I am supposed to get paid today but it hasn’t showed up in my bank account. Hopefully it will by tomorrow morning. We need money to pay off my jaw appointments.

It’s going to be SPRING CLEANING tomorrow. I am actually kind of excited about it. I just hope I can really get it all done. Maybe take a break here or there. Since our house is small I should have enough time to get into little corners and spaces. Also maybe spray for spiders; they will be coming back soon. We finally got rid of the ants that we had in the winter time.

Job option *cross your fingers*

I know I’m sorry I didn’t write in my blog yesterday but it would have been a really boring post.

Yesterday Spencer and I slept in and then both got ready for work. Nothing super exciting at work either I just read a book mostly and watched a few TV shows.

Then we had potato soup for dinner and Spencer did some homework while I watched the movie Robots. That is a really funny movie, its one of my favorites.

We’ve decided that every Monday we are going to listen to one of the talks given in General Conference. And then when we finish the Book of Mormon we will read each hymn or child’s hymn and the scriptures that relate to the hymn. It’s going to be really exciting especially since I like music.

This morning I slept in a little bit but not too much. My dad said at his work they will be posting the receptionist/clerical positions tomorrow. He told me to send him my resume. Hopefully I can at least get an interview. It is full time job and $16/hr which is much needed since I’m not doing anything else but working part time right now.

Then we can get insurance maybe through me working full time. It would be a longer work day but I am not doing anything else and we need the money to save up for future things in our lives.

If we do start a family sometime in the future then if needed my mom is close to my work and could watch the baby. I would probably work full time until Spencer was done with school. And who knows we might end up moving closer to Tooele so that it would be easier for my mom to watch our kids if needed.

This is just thoughts and something that would work out nicely. Just me planning ahead in case this option does work out. =] New things are exciting and can be frustrating because it does take time to learn new things.

One Tree Hill’s LAST EPISODE is tonight, it’s a 2 hours episode. I’m either going to watch it on TV or on my phone tomorrow. Either way I’m almost positive it’s going to make me cry. It’s been a good run.

For institute tomorrow we are going to talk about Elder Holland’s talk from this April’s General Conference. It was a pretty good talk but I was hoping we would talk about the one talk we planned on talking on. (I can’t remember off the top of my head which one it was) Oh well it will be good to listen to it again.

I’m wearing flip flops today because it said it would be 70 degrees outside today. It’s been a long time since I’ve worn my flip flops it feels weird.

Other than that I plan to just read a book mostly at work and typed up a few things, I’m almost done with one of the books I’ve needed to type one. Then one more left. How exciting I’ve done so much lately.

Also I’m exciting to get my jaw splint next Wednesday because it will be more supportive I feel than me trying to keep my teeth apart myself. I just need to try again to take those big pills if it’s still hard I might talk to him and ask if there is another way I can repair my bone in my jaw.

I don’t want to get birth control that is inserted into my body but if he thinks I really need to then I guess I will have to make a doctors appointment.
Here is a piece of advice, strap your children to a chair so they can’t jump around and risk falling on their jaw. Haha I’m just kidding but I was a crazy kid and jumped on furniture with a friend when I was 2 or 3 and smacked my chin/jaw on something and bit through my lip. That’s what caused all of my jaw problems. There is no way to really control your child all the time.

Enjoy the wonderful day outside and drink LOTS of water! =]

182nd General Conference

I should have written this blog earlier today because now I’m exhausted and I might forget something I wanted to say.

First off Happy Monday! Another week isn’t it so exciting. Lol

Friday night Spencer and I relaxed a little bit. We got a movie from Smith’s that has 10 shows on it and then some free baskin robins ice cream for me. Then we went back to the house and watched this one church movie on TV until the guys got back.
We then watched a Law and Order show, I love those shows but sometimes they give me nightmares.

Then off to bed for the night. We both slept pretty well, Spencer did because he had medicine to help him. We think he had a fever and he was achy.

It’s so bittersweet when General Conference is over. It’s kind of sad but I learned a lot. And this time I had an experience, I got and answer to my prayer. And I was overwhelmed with this feeling in my chest or aka the Holy Ghost. The spirit had touched me and I knew what I needed to do. I still must wait a little but I’m ready! =] (My answer doesn’t really matter to anyone else right now)

Afterwards we had yummy Roast Beef and mashed potatoes. Oh btw it snowed all during Conference on Sunday in Tooele. Yuck!
Then Spencer and I slowly got ready and headed back to Salt Lake City to complete a few things before getting ready to go to bed. We were both tired and kind of sick. But we made it to bed and slept pretty well.

I had a full work day today so I had to hurry and get ready in the morning.
Nothing to crazy happened today though. It’s just been kind of slow and I’ve been trying to keep myself awake.

I guess I should wrap this up! Can’t wait to go home and maybe take a nap or something! (Besides I do need to finish the dishes and put away some clothes but that’s it)

Have a great day!
